First thing your going to want to do is decide where to put the tent. I put mine in a back corner of the basement. Make sure you have enough space and have a nice place to mix water and do your gardening.
After you decide where to put your tent your going to want to install the carbon filter and inline fan in your tent. You can put your inline fan outside the tent if you want but I just installed mine hanging from the support inside the tent. Just make sure you have room to install the light in the middle of the tent. Put the light all the way to the top of the tent for now. Clip your fan on the back vertical support and put all plugs through the hole of your choice. Put probe for inline fan in a spot easy to move up and down by the middle of the tent.
Plug everything in except the light into the surge protector. Plug the light into the timer and then plug into the surge protector. Set the timer for 18 Hours on. I usually set my time so it's on when I can work on it. the light turns off at like 1 in the morning and on at 7 in the morning. Set inline fan to auto and set it to turn on at 72 degrees and set the humidity to stay between 40 And 60%. Put your clip on fan on low and make sure all ports on the tent are closed and tight enough to not let light in. Your tent should be all set to start growing.
Start by selecting the seeds you want to grow. Grab a paper towel and a plastic bag. Get the paper towel wet and squeeze it out till it's damp. I usually fold it in half and fold it in half the other way and put the seeds in the middle of second fold with space between them and put it in a zip lock bag and throw it on the floor of the tent and check them in 3 to 5 days. Sometimes they take a little longer. If they don't sprout right away I usually just take the ones out that do and leave the other ones in the bag for a couple more days. I've only had 4 seeds not sprout in the entire time I've been growing.
First thing your going to want to do is fill a pitcher with water and ph the water to 6.5 then grab a 16 Oz. Disposable cup and pop 4 holes in the sides by the bottom and 1 in the dead center of the bottom. Fill cup halfway with soil and water with 6.5 ph water till it drips out the bottom then fill 3/4 full with dirt and water till comes out bottom of cup. Push a 1" deep hole on middle of the dirt and put sprout in facing right direction and backfill hole. Repeat for each plant.
Put cups on middle of tent. Lower light to about 2 feet above cups. Check on plants every day and if they start turning brown dim lights a little. In 2 to 3 days put finger 1 inch into soil and check moisture. If dry check your ph of water again before using and water till damp. Do not over water. Repete every 2 to 3 days.
At this point your going to want to grab the 7 gal air pots and fill 1/3 with soil and water with 6.5 water till all wet I mix it up a little to not have dry spots once its all wet I fill with more soil and get it damp. Your plants need a little air to the roots so don't make it muddy. Repeat till planters about 3 inches from the top and leave a hole about the size of your cup in the middle.
Once your plants are about 4 inches tall on a day I'm watering I transplant into the 7 gal pots while the soil is dry. To transplant I put hand over top of cup with plant between fingers. Flip over cup and roll and press sides of cup till the whole plant and soil fall out in one chunk.(don't touch the roots) I then flip it back in the hole I made in the 7 gal pot soil and push soil into the gap I try to make the soil look like a shallow cup to keep the water in when I water them then water everything with the 6.5 water.
3 days later I check and see how they are taking the transfer. If they look like they are struggling a little just give them the 6.5 water. If they look green and healthy I start to introduce fertlizer in Small amounts. Read the fertlizer bottle, use big bloom and big grow. Big bloom is the micro nutrients and big grow is the nitrogen. I start with half what the side of the bottle says. After adding the fertlizer make sure you ph water to 6.5.
I only fertilize every other watering. Keep and keep adjusting light as they get bigger they can handle more light. If you adjust light and the tips start turning brown back off on the light a little. If they are growing to tall and skinny lower the light a little.
Once They have atleast 3 sets of leaves and are about 7-8 inches tall I cut the top off about 3/4 of an inch from the top of the 3rd set of leaves. (Nodes) and continue watering every 2-3 days and fertlize every other watering. By this point I would be at about 3/4 the amount of fertlizer the bottle says to use and never forget to ph your water.
At this point the top you cut off should have turned into 2 tops. At this point I would change the fertlizer to full doses.. Once the 2 tops are about 5 inches tall I cut the tops off of both the tops and I put Holes around the top of the planter. I use zip ties and gardening string to pull down the tops to make the tops horizontal and new shoots will come off the Tops you pulled down. You can keep repeating this process as many times as you like. I personally do it till I have 10 To 12 Tops on the plant.
Continue watering every 2 to 3 days and fertilizing every other feeding. As the plant grows bigger your going to have to increase the water you give them. till the plants are about a little short of 2/3 your expected full max hight for your tent light. You will need 1 foot from yoour light and about 2 feet extra for growth.
Now that the plant has filled up and looks like a bush your going to put it into flowering. Change your timer now to 112 Hours of light and 12 hours of dark. Since I work during the day and mess with them at night I usually set this so the light turns on at 1 pm and turns off at 1 a.m. if your in a hot climate you could set them to turn off during the hot parts of the day like 7 at night till 7 in the morning. Your preference.
I keep the nutrients the same for the first week then switch to big bud and tiger bud (phosphorus nutrients). Still watering on the same schedule but by now you should be watering about a half a gal per plant.
About week 8 I start giving them only water. Week 9 your going to want to look at the trichomes under the microscope. They should mostly look white and milky looking with some changing to amber. When about 1/4 of them are amber and the rest are milky looking I chop the whole plant down.
