Making butter for edibles are pretty simple. There is still a little list of things you will need to make some high quality butter.
If you see recipes online that tell you to add water to your butter just throw it away. Never put water in your butter it will make it mold within a week. Just follow my recipe and it's not going to mold right away.
1. Your going to need a double boiler. One for candy would work great. A cheap version would be to put a pan on the stove filled with water and put a smaller pan floating in the water. Just be careful not to get any water in the top sauce pan.
2. Next your going to need cheese cloth and a mesh strainer.
Set up your double boiler and start heating up the water in the boiler or theĀ lower pan. Once it starts getting hot put in your unsalted butter to melt in the top pan. Once it's all melted I put in my product. I throw in all my sugar leaves from trimming and all the small buds from the bottom of the plants. Ratio is usually around 1 lb butter to 1 ounce product. I let it sit in the double boiler and stir for around an hour. Then you Grab your strainer and put a cheese cloth in it and pour the melted butter mix through the cheese cloth and the strainer into the mason jar. I usually pour into bigger bowl then break it up into small mason jars that hold about a cup. Seal them and put them in freezer. A mason jar is good for 1 9x13 pan of brownies.
