Wax press

This way to make wax is way healthier then making BHO.  You won't get as much wax but the quality is way better with no other products in it. Have you ever just sprayed butane onto a clean plate. That white byproduct left on the plate. That's the stuff that's mixed with your BHO, do you really want to smoke that? Try this way your lungs will thank you.

There is a little startup cost to be able to make it but it's well worth the cost. This is the only way I'll smoke wax. Here's a list of what you need.

1. First your going to need a press. There is different options for a press. 

This is the press I have. Its been upgraded since I bought it.. mine only has 1 temp controler. It definitely does the job. I really have no complaints. 

This nug smasher is top of the line, if you can afford it this is the way to go. This is what my uncle bought and he says he loves it.

This is a cheap alternative that I'm  sure would work if your looking for something on the cheap side.

2. Mesh bags.

The size of the mesh determines the quality of the rosin. it also determines how much wax you get. The lower the number the higher the quality but the lower the number the less product you get. I try to stick around the 90-120 range for flower.

If your looking for a good quality product and not as worried about how much your making I'd go with something like this.

If your looking to get the most out of your product and not really worried about the quality as much I'd go with 120 bags.

3. Parchment paper.

This keeps your plates clean and What your rosin sticks to.

4. Wax tools

Your going to need a tool kit like this to get the wax off the paper.

5. Your going to need these little containers to hold your wax.

Now that you have collected the materials you need let's get started.

First your going to want to fill a micron bag about halfway full with product. I use all buds because good in good out. Crap in equals crap out.. take the press and plug it in and set it for 200°. That's a good place to start. 190-220 is the range. Next take the parchment paper and fold it in half without creasing it in-between the 2 plates. Stand your micron bag Up between the folded parchment paper that's between your plates. Your going to want to pump your smasher till the plates are pressing on the bag of product and let it heat up the product. After about a min I pump it a couple more times and let it sit for a little longer. Once I think its warmed all the way through I start slowly pumping. Once it's pumped almost as much as the machine will allow I let it sit. You will see the wax bubbling out the front of the plates. When it stops bubbling out from between the plates I undo the pressure. Take the parchment paper and the micron bag. I pull the micron bag off the parchment paper and throw it in a storage bag with all the other micron bags I've used because you can use the Leftovers for other concentrates. Now your going to want yo just leave it on the table for a day to harden. Some people say to put it in a freezer to harden faster. I've never had that great of luck trying to do that. If you leave it for a day or 2 on the parchment paper it comes off without any fighing. believe me you'll thank me later. After 1 or 2 days scrape it off the parchment paper and put it in the silicone container. Now your set to go with your dabs.
